To be loved

D:  Smile for the camera

G:  (Fixing her hair)

D:  You’re beautiful G, but you know what’s more important than being beautiful?

G:  To be loved

Amen

G’s School Photo

Not sure who taught her how to pose for photos.  What a princess.

Just Don’t Touch . . .

Like a kid in a candy store, Captain N found himself at the apple orchard last week.

He’s the sweetest little guy but don’t ever try to take his fruit away.

Contest: (Nick)-Naming Noah

Filed under: Uncategorized — Howard Scott Silverman @ 6:51 am

Noah needs a nickname.  G has princess and she wears the name well.  Perhaps too well.

We have narrowed Noah’s names down to the distinguished “Huggy Bear” and mysterious “Captain Vah” (Noah speak for Captain Vacuum).

I am partial to Captain as I’m not sure a 15 year old would be very enthusiastic about Huggy Bear.

Noah: 18 Month Snapshot

Filed under: Uncategorized — Howard Scott Silverman @ 3:40 am

At just over 18 months, our little man is really coming in to his own.  Given his age, he has a remarkable ability to concentrate.  And though unable to produce many particularly clear words (mommy is needed to translate) he has started producing combinations of words and his vocabulary (of the last half of many words!) is proliferating.

Favorite activity:  Vacuuming, yes, he still will do this for as long as we let him.  Must be plugged in and turned on full volume.  Nothing else will do.

Alternate favorite activity:  Anything big sister G is up to

Favorite person to hug:  G

Favorite person to kiss:  Sister Schnitzelle

Favorite food:  Fruit, of any and all sort.  Grapes in particular.  Insatiable.

Favorite prepared food:  Fruit smoothie by daddy!

Favorite TV show:  ”Choo choo” (seems to be Chuggington or Thomas the Train)

Favorite time of day:  Bath time with G

Bed time:  6pm

Wake up:  455am or earlier.  What a pleasure!

Least favorite activity:  Having faced cleaned

Least favorite food:  He will eat anything we put in front of him.  Spice is not an obstacle!

Most surprising ability:  Threshold for pain.  Found him with dry blood on his knee, but we never even saw the fall!  Hopefully, he will learn from all the wounds he is accumulating!

Most amusing activity:  Directing his parents to do things by holding their hand and orchestrating specific moves (scratching of back, opening packages and drawers, walking to a different room, etc)

Most consistent and yet most poorly pronunciated word:  Up up, comes out as “pah pah”

Words that most describe him:  Sweet, loving, focused, persistent, darn good looking!
