Daddy brought home one of Gabby’s blankets. In less than 5 minutes, Schnitz went from curious to protective. What a great big sister she is!

Seven Pounds and Nine Ounces

So, today is not quite D-day, not even L-day. Today is I-day. Evidently, Babie Silverman needs significant Inducement (defined as: “to lure with Incentive“) to leave the comfort of her home for the last 40ish weeks.
Not sure what more incentive she could need than the privilege to hang out with me, Yael and Schnitzelle. But, I’m confident pharmacological inducement will be sufficient to lure her into the real world.
We’ve been told Sunday will be D-day, with some interim L in between. I’m sure this weekend will be a blast! BS owes us big already.

A false start this weekend occupied only a couple hours of our Saturday night. We’re calling it a full dress rehearsal complete with the increasingly forgetful mommy-to-be, the quasi-spastic father-to-be and the panicked dog.
Seriously, Schnitzelle didn’t much like the suitcases leaving with mom and dad and screamed for fear of abandonment. Little does she know!
Our OB was on call and put her money down on an inducement for Sunday (29th).
Either way you cut it (pun intended), Babie Silverman will be home next week!
D-day in T-minus 3 days
At least Schnitzelle has a place to rest her paws more comfortably.

For those of you longing for a shot of a very pregnant Yael. Finally I give you satisfaction. Getting by the censor these days isn’t quite as easy as it used to be!
And no, that’s not a basketball hidden under her shirt. My little princess just ain’t so little any more!
38th week . . . . the quiet before the storm

Last night’s Chinese dinner resulted in an amazingly telling fortune. . .

And if the text wasn’t enough to convince you this stuff is real:
Take the two digit numbers and add the units together (40=4; 41=5; etc). Now strip out the duplicated numbers. Then total the remaining numbers together (4+7=11). Then, as in the first step, take the two digit numbers and add the units together (11=2). 2!!
We received this fortune on July 2nd!!! And Babie Silverman will be our 2nd child (when you count Schnitzelle)!!
Can you believe it?!?! Friggin amazing. What a mind freak!
